DARK WEIZEN
VÙDÙ

VÙDÙ, THE ORIGINARY

Nourishing and inspired to ancient atmospheres, VùDù is inspired by the times when German-style wheat beers, Weizens, used to be dark (Dunkel).
The result is a historical ale projected beyond the constraints of trends and seasons. Velvety and fragrant, as convivial as it is meditative, this beer revives and respectfully celebrates the Bavarian classic.

It is the glass typically used for weizen with a capacity that is usually around half a liter. Tall, with an important foot that ensures stability, it opens upwards, facilitating the formation of an abundant and persistent foam. The only flaw can be found in the large surface exposed to the air and to the contact with the hand which could lead to a rapid heating of the beer contained in it.

“Every sip is a sort of pagan ritual, a direct connection with the power of nature: VùDù is harmony in opposition, the black touching the white, the cosmic game, an eternal becoming.”

More about this beer

VùDù is a dark wheat ale, whose grain bill also features “grano del miracolo”, an ancient wheat variety.

Rich in aroma, this beer sports the classic phenolic and estery notes one would expect from a Weizenbier (ripe banana, clove, fresh yeast) together with the milk chocolate and toffee nuance contributed by the roasted malts.

Mouthfeel is round and thick, almost “chewable” and full-flavored.

Pairings

Ideal setting: VùDù is a convivial beer as much as it can be meditative and apt to be enjoyed in solitude. Drink it during collegial dinners, or together with your thoughts only.

Food: it can be paired well with nut-based sweets, such as torrone, as well as with risottos and white meats. Excellent with roasted chetnuts.
